![]() ![]() The indirect approach has two problems: First I was not able to get round shapes in the DXF file. ![]() It seems to me that FreeCAD tried to export the 3D model as DXF - in FreeCAD a new 3D view gets opened. The direct approach (a) failed as I was not able to export things in FreeCAD. The symbols are not correctly aligned in the menu bar as in some references ( ). I also was not able to find the buttons to add a dimension to the drawing. Using the self compiled FreeCAD there are serveral issues, that the GUI throws several exceptions, so working is a bit of pain. I compiled FreeCAD myself too, to get access to the new drawing feature branch. I'm running ubuntu with the binary package installed (from lauchpad). I tried all three possibilities and I got no correct result from either of the possibilities. I see/found several possibilities to reach the 2D from given 3D:Ī) Export DXF from FreeCAD and then in LibreCAD add the dimensionsī) Export SVG in FreeCAD, convert SVG to DXF in inkscape and again dimension in LibreCAD (both viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4552)Ĭ) Using the new drawing feature in FreeCAD Then I want to create 2D drawings from them to be able to produce things. I know there are several posts of this, but I want to do the following: Generate 3D objects and assembe them together in 3D.
